Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman was honored to light the fifth candle of Hanukkah in the Western Wall in honor of the wounded of Israel’s wars and hostilities.

Rabbi Yitzhak Doavid Grossman, was honored to light the fifth candle of Hanukkah in the Western Wall in recognition of the Israeli heroes who were wounded as a result of fighting in the ‘Iron Swords’ war and Israel’s wars and hostilities. The lighting took place in the presence of the Rabbi of the Western Wall and the Holy Places Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, the Mayor of Jerusalem Mr. Moshe Leon and the Minister of Transportation and Road Safety Brigadier General Miri Regev. Also attended, Kobi and Idit Ohel, the parents of Alon, who was kidnapped in Gaza, wounded and disabled IDF heroes who were wounded in the war and victims of hostilities, soldiers of the 55th Paratrooper Brigade in the Reservoir together with the brigade commander Col. Avi Haliva, survivors survivors of the Holocaust and many thousands who came to the Western Wall.   Rabbi Yitzhak Dovid Grossman said: “This is the place to ask God to perform miracles and for all the abductees to return to their homes soon. To ask God to perform miracles and for all the wounded soldiers to be healed. And to ask God that if the soldiers return safely from the war without harm.”
