Rabbi Yitzhak Dovid Grossman is the father of thousands of boys and girls in Israel – children who came from difficult places, who experienced a complex reality, who need someone to believe in them. For them, he is the supporting shoulder, the hand that caresses, the smile that shines and the heart that is always open.
In each of his visits to the “Migdal Ohr” institutions, like the last visit to the “Pirchei Ora” school, he stops, listens, asks each boy and girl how they are doing, genuinely interested. He sits with them, learns with them, tells them a story and strengthens them with words that will stay with them for life. Because for them – he is not “like a father”, he is a father to all intents and purposes.
On this Family Day, we salute Rabbi Grossman for his long-standing role as a father to thousands of children in Israel. A father who dedicates his life to give every child a warm home, love, faith, and a real chance to succeed.
