The Chag Saveah for Children Campaign began in 2004, as a local initiative of the  pupils of Migdal Ohr Organization’s educational institutions in Migdal HaEmek.  These pupils wished to give back to society and present other needy children with food packages.  The Migdal Ohr pupils receive a values-based education and all their needs are met.  They learn that when you are a recipient you must also learn to give back.  They collected food products, and packed 500 packages to needy families.  From year to year, the activity has grown until it became an important and essential national campaign.

Currently, the Migdal Ohr Organization assists tens of thousands of needy families nationwide, before the holidays.  For more than twenty years, the Organization has run the Chag Saveah for Children Campaign, in which volunteers take part from various sectors of Israeli society – secular, Haredi, soldiers, pupils, celebrities and politicians.  The Rabbi’s atmosphere of giving and love brings everyone around him together, in order to work on behalf of others.  Everyone together, with one heart, making sure that thousands of children will have a ‘full holiday.’
