As part of this major, the girls learn about the language of photography and gain experience in practical photography, which expresses their inner world. The curriculum enables them to voice their opinions, share and tell their story, through the photography medium.
In this major, the girls find a place for experiential, emotional and social expression, to voice their opinions and to get a message across using visual tools. It encourages them to address issues that interest them, that they care about, or that they have experienced themselves. This is another tool that Migdal Ohr offers the girls in order to develop an ability to honestly and openly express their feelings and thoughts, verbally and visually.
The Shalhevet School was established by Israel Prize Recipient, Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman for teenage girls at-risk. The school provides the pupils with support, knowledge and the tools to change their life’s trajectory for the good.
